“Hocking Hills” by Robie Benve, Central Ohio Branch
12×16 paper and acrylic on canvas
Robie Benve is a mixed media painter working with acrylics, paper, ink (and more) to create colorful and textural paintings. She loves to abstract features and incorporate unexpected patterns and marks that add visual interest. The resulting work is vibrant and uplifting.
“I really like how colorful and textural this painting came out,” she says. “I was looking at a very green reference photo and enjoyed reproducing the sense of place while being very creative with the colors.”
Benve is represented by the Marcia Evans Gallery in the Columbus Short North Arts District in Columbus, Ohio. Her website is Linktr.ee/robiebenve.
Another exquisite painting, Robie. Congratulations!
Lovely combination of soft colors. Thanks for sharing!
I love the colors, textures, and atmosphere of this painting.
Fabulous use of color. I love it!
I love this painting. The use of unexpected colors and the intriguing linear and lacey work of branches really caught my eye.
I used to live in OH and remember Hocking State Park.
Awesome painting! You are not afraid of color!
