Clouds

By Sherrill Geer

They ride across the sky

 like mythical beasts

 just pretending to be clouds.

Their gray wisps of form

are soon scattered, leaving

only the golden pink and blue

of the early morning sky

to capture the imagination.

So predictable, and still

so beautiful to see.

Day replaces night,

revealing anew its colors.

Beautiful imagery. I love to watch clouds, and you’ve painted a lovely, serene picture. Thank you!
