Call for Proposals
2026 NLAPW Biennial, Washington, D.C.
Hosted by the CNY Branch; April 24-26, 2026
Pen Women! We are accepting proposals for 60- or 90-minute concurrent sessions for the 2026 Biennial. We invite you to consider sessions that cross disciplines and genres.
We would love to see presentations that involve members from more than one branch. We prefer sessions that involve more than one presenter.
The sessions can be:
- Workshop: Our workshops are usually hands-on and interactive, getting members involved in activities or watching demonstrations with questions and answers. For generative workshops, we do have some 90-minute time slots.
- Panel: Several Pen Women can team up for a presentation. Usually 60 minutes.
Roundtable discussion: Gather some Pen Women to each talk briefly on a topic, then expand the discussion to include all the women in the room. Usually 60 minutes. - Hybrid: Surprise us with a session that borrows from more than one format.
To submit, send your proposal as a single PDF that includes the following information:
• Contact person
• Chair/timekeeper for session
• Title of session
• Type of session (workshop, panel, roundtable, or hybrid)
• One-paragraph description of the session
• Technology needs
• Time required (60 or 90 minutes)
• For each presenter (including the chair and the contact person), include:
• Name
• Email address
• Phone number
• Branch
• Short bio (under 75 words)
