“Bluetooth 1.0” by Patricia L. Brooks, Fort Lauderdale Branch
Ink and watercolor, 24 x 30
Artist’s Statement
This alligator was basking in the sun on the side of a golf course pond. The pond had just received an algae treatment and turned the alligator’s teeth blue. What I also noticed was how many textures and patterns, even coloration, this amazing creature sported, thus the tangled nature of my piece. Bluetooth 1.0 won third place in the Annual Gold Coast Watercolor Society (GWS) Fine Arts Show and was promptly stolen from the art museum, where it was on display. So I had to do another, which was “Bluetooth 2.0.”

Absolutely Love It!
Maybe this gorgeous creature will stare down the thief, prick his conscience with those blue teeth!
This is a great piece. So much excellent detail. It must have been easier to recreate the second time. Yet, it is so sad the original was stolen from the gallery. Love it! Thank you for sharing.
I love it! It’s creative and fun, well it has a scary element to it. Excellent skillfull execution!
I love the intricate textures and themed patterns.
