Poem of the Week: Costumes

Risa Roberts
Fort Lauderdale Branch

She stripped down to her underwear

Slowly stripped down

To her bones

Not enough

She reached deep into her being

Found the child

Crossed over

  1. Brenda Layman says:

This struck me as a powerfully distilled poem. The stark imagery works beautifully.

  2. Judi MacLean says:

    Wow. Simple and True.

  3. Marlene Bell says:

Thought provoking. She could find her innner child, or her lost child.

  4. Went right to my inner child. Risa thank you.

  5. Lovely and, speaking as s Chaplain, so real.
